Samford Volleyball ended their home slate in style this past week, as the Bulldogs have racked off two straight wins with the season winding down.
The emotions were high in both games, as the two matches were Lauren Deaton’s last home games in a Samford uniform. However, the Bulldogs were still dominant, as they defeated Furman 3-1 and The Citadel 3-0.
Gracie Lynn Butler starred for Samford against Furman, as she notched a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs. Against the Citadel, Kenya McQuirter and Kate Wonus both had nine kills.
With the two wins, Samford moves to 15-11 overall, good for second in the SoCon with tournament play soon approaching. Samford will next face Mercer this Wednesday and Wofford this Friday, with both games on the road.
