Being on The Crimson staff was one of the highlights of my four years at Samford, and serving as its Editor-in-Chief was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had. Student journalism is special and unique. In a few words, it’s a chance for rookie journalists to tell real stories. As you can imagine, this can easily create problems, but it can just as easily inspire innovative solutions that change the world of journalism. I experienced all of this while working for The Crimson. It gave me the experiences I needed to pursue my career, no matter what form that takes. It allowed me to be mentored and mentor others, all while building lifelong friendships. Most importantly, The Crimson empowered me to be a lifelong storyteller, and I am forever grateful.
