Samford will travel to Lexington, Virginia on Saturday to face off against the Keydets of VMI (3-3 overall; 2-1 SoCon).

The Bulldogs currently sit at 4th in Southern Conference while the Keydets are placed in 5th.

Both Samford and VMI are in search of their third Southern Conference victory.

VMI is coming off a 34-21 win over The Citadel while the Bulldogs are fresh off a 58-14 thrashing at the hands of the Furman Paladins.

The Keydets are led offensively by junior quarterback and North Wales, Pennsylvania native Reece Udinski.

Udinksi averages 42 pass attempts per game and has completed 61.5 percent of his attempts on the season, tossing for 13 touchdowns without any interceptions along the way.       However, with VMI passing so often, Udinski has been sacked 18 times total this year.

Redshirt junior running back Alex Ramsey has ran the ball for 647 total yards this season to go along with nine rushing touchdowns and a season-long carry of 38 yards.

He has completed two games this season with over 100 yards rushing and has averaged around 24 carries per game. Ramsay also chips in with 210 total yards receiving.

VMI also has its share of solid receiving options. Sophomore Jakob Herres leads the team in receiving yards with 442 to go along with four touchdowns.

Senior Javeon Lara has chipped in with 357 yards receiving, adding a team-best five touchdowns along the way.

Defensively, AJ Smith and Kaleb Tucker have each picked off two passes this season, while three players each are tied with one interception on the season.

In terms of kicking, kicker Grant Clemons has only converted on 54 percent of his field goal attempts this season with a long of 46. Clemons, however, is perfect on extra point attempts, going 20 for 20 thus far.

The game has a start time set for 12:30 p.m. and can be streamed live on ESPN+.
