UNC Greensboro’s Kyrin Galloway scored a season-high 19 points and James Dickey had a double-double as the Spartans throttled a struggling Samford team 95-67 on Sunday afternoon.

UNC Greensboro (19-6, 9-3 Southern Conference) established a 25-17 lead after 10 minutes of play before making a 13-2 run and creating a 19-point deficit for the Bulldogs.

Samford’s Jalen Dupree converted on a 3-point play and Robert Allen scored a 3-pointer and a jump shot to bring Samford within 11 points with 5:07 before halftime.

However, the Bulldogs would not get any closer for the remainder of the contest.

Dickey scored 13 points and grabbed 16 rebounds while Kaleb Hunter added 16 points. UNC Greensboro has won seven of its last eight games.

The Spartans sit one game out of top of the SoCon behind East Tennessee State and Furman, who are both tied for first.

Allen scored a career-high 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Samford. Donte Tatum scored 11 and Jalen Dupree added 10.

The Bulldogs (8-18 overall, 2-10 SoCon) have lost 10 straight, including five 20-point losses.

Samford will return to action against The Citadel on Saturday, a team they defeated 69-68 on Jan. 1 this season.

The game has a start time set for noon CST and can be streamed on ESPN3.
