After Lighting of the Way on Thursday night, Samford United hosted a live, socially distanced campus worship on the football field. During worship, Samford University President Andrew Westmoreland and First Lady Jeanna Westmoreland made a surprise appearance, where they discussed the end of the semester, the upcoming retirement and continued the tradition of reading the birth of Jesus Christ in the Bible. After the reading, they counted down the virtual lighting of the Christmas tree on the quad.
