The Samford Equestrian Club Team practices are underway. The team will be taking the fall semester to prepare for competitions in the spring. Riders of all experience levels practice twice a week at Cameron Oaks Farm.

Coach Jay Moore explained his approach to coaching every level of riding.

“I have to come in with an open mind because a lot of riders come in with a lot of different backgrounds so a lot of riders learn a different way than others,” said Moore. “So some people are visual, some people are audio, so you have to be very adaptable, I think, and always be willing to listen.”

The team’s first meet will be hosted by Kennesaw State University on January 28.
