Samford men’s Tennis concluded the 2022 fall season this past weekend (November 4-6) at the Birmingham Country Club’s 2022 Collegiate Invitational.

BCC Classic 

Yesterday, November 6, the men’s tennis team finished their fall season after hosting the Birmingham Country Club’s Collegiate Invitational, the tournament took place at the Birmingham Country Club in Mountain Brook, AL. 

Samford’s competitors consisted of seven of the team’s thirteen players: Mohammed Ali (Dali) Bellalouna, Santiago Arredondo, Will Gray, Sandeep Mohandoss, J.B. Pickard, Martin Schwartzman and Harrison Williams. 

After posting an impressive run, reaching the finals of the Crimson singles draw, senior Mohammed Ali (Dali) Bellalouna finished the tournament with a singles record of three wins and one loss. 

The team posted an overall singles record of 10 wins and 14 losses and a doubles record of three wins and three losses with strong showings from all players receiving wins across the three draws. 

Samford’s Men’s Tennis Head Coach Oliver Reynolds said: “I felt like we’ve made a huge improvement from our first couple tournaments where we seemed to have struggled in a couple areas … there was a lot of positives to take away from the past three days.”

The bulldogs will be opening their spring season against the University of Alabama in January.
