The Kappa chapter of Alpha Delta Pi received national recognition from their international office this month, winning seven awards total.
The awards they were recognized with are Chapter Operations Excellence, Recruitment Excellence, Philanthropy Excellence, Facility Management Excellence, History Reporting Excellence, Panhellenic Excellence and Membership Experience Excellence.
The chapter was also nominated for the Golden Lion Award, which is “the highest ADPi honor,” according to Chapter President Ella Sawyer. The Golden Lion Award will be presented this upcoming summer at Alpha Delta Pi’s Grand Convention.
“This achievement is motivating us to continue seeking excellence in everything we do,” said Sawyer.
Sawyer is proud of the women in her chapter, and credits them with the success Alpha Delta Pi has achieved.
“These awards are a reflection of the outstanding character and drive of our chapter members,” Sawyer said. “This was definitely a chapter-wide effort, and it is my hope that all of our members can share in this achievement.”
ADPi is also coming off of their 2024 Step Sing Sweepstakes win, making for a very rewarding spring semester for the Kappa chapter.
Sawyer is grateful towards ADPi for the acceptance she has found in the house behind the baby blue door, starting all the way back in her time during recruitment.
“ADPi would not be the chapter that it is without the contributions made by each of our members,” said Sawyer. “And I definitely wouldn’t be the person or leader I am today without the impact ADPi has had on my time at Samford.”
