A look at the 2019 Magic City Art Connection festival

The 2019 Magic City Art Connection will be hosted in Linn Park in downtown Birmingham during the month of April. The event will be the organization’s 36th annual festival and will be April 26-28.

On Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, the festival will span from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. That Sunday, April 28, the events will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. according to the organization’s website.

The admission fee is $10 for adults for a 1-day pass and $15 for a three-day pass. Tickets costs $5 for students but they must present their student ID ,and children 15 and under get in free.

200 artists will present their work at the festival according to the organization’s website. The festival will include 15 mediums: painting, fiber, jewelry, 2D mixed media, metal work, wood, clay, sculpture, photography, glass, printmaking, drawings, watercolors, furniture and computer-generated artwork.

The 2019 Magic City Art Connection has chosen Birmingham-artist John Lytle Wilson as their featured artist for this year according to their website.
