A gigantic inflatable jack-o-lantern took up residence at the entrance of the zoo which provided for a perfect photo op.Due to COVID-19, the Cobweb Carousel had a reduced capacity and was cleaned between each use.Different enclosures featured fun Halloween themed amenities for the animals to enjoy.Some habitats were decorated with small pumpkins to reflect the fall season.The Creepy Crawly Candy Cave gave guests the opportunity to trick-or-treat in the zoo’s reptile building.Signage across the park allowed guests to scan barcodes to review the zoo’s schedule for the weekend.Some of the animal statues that line the zoo’s walking paths were wrapped up like mummies.The Ghoulground was a small hay bale maze that was perfect for toddlers to wander through.Social distancing signs urged guests to stay “a lion’s length apart” while enjoying the festivities.Fun fall décor was sprinkled throughout the Birmingham Zoo.
